"We must try to avoid aggression and disillusionment through our line of conduct. In other words, we must maintain our dignity and promote national interests in order to work with the enemy and reach adequate results," said coordinator of the "Civil Society Institute" Artak Kirakosyan to "A1+" during a civic forum entitled "Opportunities for dialogue: how to respond to expressions of hatred?"

Citizens and representatives of non-governmental organizations formed groups during the forum aimed at openly discussing the Armenian-Azeri information warfare and how to overcome it

Artal Kirakosyan says that the reason behind holding the forum is that it is actual and a show of hatred like aggression has a negative impact on the press.

Artak Kirakosyan says that nothing good will come out of this and it can't contribute to the normalization of Armenian-Azeri ties.

Similar forums are held in Baku and Nagorno-Karabakh as well, but they differ in different locations. For instance, according to Kirakosyan, the Azeri can't hold open discussions in Baku as in Yerevan.

Representatives from Armenia, Artsakh, Azerbaijan and the Diaspora will take part in a joint forum to be held in Moscow a month later and the forum is aimed at trying to create a general platform through which it will be possible to create working groups and make effective decisions.

According to Artak Kirakosyan, there are Azeri parties interested in overcoming the information warfare and that is the reason for holding joint forums from time to time.

Artak Kirakosyan also tried to compare the current situation facing the Armenian-Azeri war and the curent state of political affairs in Armenia.

In both cases, according to Kirakosyan, there is fear to solve the issues. "The first thing to do is to free people from fear and find a general platform."
