Meeting sanctioned, march banned
The Armenian National Congress (HAK) holds a meeting near the Matenadaran on July 2. The Yerevan City Hall today considered HAK's notification and found no grounds for refusal, senior representative of Yerevan's City Hall Gagik Baghdasarian told A1+.
"The City Hall has sanctioned HAK's rally of July 2. At the same time taking into consideration the RoA Law on Conducting Meetings, Assemblies, Rallies and Demonstrations" the City Hall banned the following march," said the City Hall.
Note that amnestied political prisoners are expected to make speeches at HAK's rally.
Police have already been instructed to keep order during the rally.
