Vacancies are filled
Today the National Assembly elected Chairpersons of two NA Committees.
Former deputy speaker of the Armenian parliament, ARF member Hrayr Karapetyan, was elected Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on Defense, National Security and Internal Affairs.
Remind that the former Chairman of the Standing Committee, ARF member Artur Aghabekyan resigned office after the ARF-Dashnaktsutyun withdrew from the Coalition.
BHK member Naira Zohrabyan was appointed Chairman of the NA Standing Committee on European Integration. The post had been vacant since Avet Adonts was appointed Armenia's Ambassador to Belgium.
None of the MPs asked questions to Hrayr Karapetyan and Naira Zohrabyan.
In his addressing speech Republican MP Edward Sharmazanov called on his fellow colleagues to vote for the candidates.
BHK MP Aram Safaryan noted that Naira Zohrabyan is the best candidate for the post with her professional background of a deputy and journalist.
After the voting Hrayr Karapetyan and Naira Zohrabyan thanked their colleagues for the confidence.
