The capital's precincts opened at 8 a.m. declaring the start of the Yerevan municipal election.

Alarms about violations and fabrications followed the offset of the election.

Taxi-Z service and minibuses N5 owned by Avan's district head Taron Margaryan, started transporting voters to precincts form early morning.

"In particular, at 10:30 the aforesaid taxis transported residents of Narekatsi and Duryan streets to an Avan precinct," reports the Armenian National Congress (HAK).  The latter also reports that some guys in green shirts are roaming around the precincts. They represent the Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) and instruct people for which candidate to vote.

Detained General Gagik Matevosyan voted at Precinct 10/26. The eye-witnesses saw the escort policemen following the process of voting.  They even fixed which candidate Matevosyan had voted for.

The cases of violations and fabrications reported by the HAK are available at A1+'s website.

Remind that on the eve of Yerevan's municipal election Council of Europe's Congress delegation expressed concern on the lawfulness of elections.

In response to the statement issued by the Council of Europe's Congress of Local and Regional Authorities observation mission the Chairman of CEC Garegin Azaryan has particularly mentioned, "I can't make comments on their activities. They don't interfere in our activities, and we do the same. They are doing their job within their mandate. The more they make statements prior to the election day, or within the framework of observation mission in general, the more the election authorities will have opportunity to promptly react and undertake necessary measures".
