Former Deputy Prosecutor General Gagik Jhangiryan left prison for a few hours today. He went to vote at Yerevan's Precinct 3/27. After a thorough study of the area the police let Gagik Jhangiryan enter the Precinct.

The ex Deputy Prosecutor General called on Armenians to participate in the vote. "Though the election will be rigged, people will win this time," said Mr. Jhangiryan.

Ex Foreign Minister Alexander Arzumanyan charged with last year's post-election deadly clashes voted at Precinct 10/20 in Yerevan's Kenton District.

He asked the escort policemen to turn around so that he could vote freely.

Alexander Arzumanyan said "people will finally win a victory as elections cannot be rigged constantly."

Alexander Arzumanyan was the 87th voter at the Precinct.
