Hayrikyan’s position
Leader of the "National Self-Determination Union" Paruyr Hayrikyan and some of his supporters paid a visit and laid flowers in front of the tomb of first Prime Minister of the First Republic Aram Manukyan.
Exactly 90 years ago this day Aram Manukyan died at the age of 40 from typhus. Hayrikyan and a group of people also laid flowers in front of the tombs of independence fighters Haykaz Khachatryan and Movses Georgisyan.
"As a nation, we must have great expectations, know our history and huge potential, which has somewhat been forgotten. May 28 forces us to look at things in a new way," said Paruyr Hayrikyan.
"A1+" used this opportunity to ask Paruyr Hayrikyan for his evaluation of the Yerevan municipal elections.
"If I considered the presidential elections as elections for village head, imagine what I think about the elections for Council of Elders. I am very happy that there is a chance to vote and that the candidates are going against each other in a little heated struggle, but that can't make a huge difference from the political life perspective," said Paruyr Hayrikyan.
As for the conflicts between the Republican and "Prosperous Armenia" party, Hayrikyan doesn't think that it is a big deal.
