Police are looking for eyewitness
Support A1+!The police responded to the publications according to which police officers from the Mashtots police headquarters kidnapped Myasnik Malkhasyan's eyewitness Gagik Avdalyan from court and arrested him.
According to the publications, he was offered a "dirty deal": if he "behaved" himself, his brother, who is a prisoner for 5 years, might be released prematurely. However, Avdalyan publicly rejected the offer.
"We clarify that during the above mentioned trials, Gagik Avdalyan had announced several times that he had been subjected to violence during the preliminary inquiry. With the purpose of checking the facts, proceeding with the announcements and identifying the criminals, Avdalyan was notified and called to the special investigative service for prosecution. He did not show up and the investigator of important cases made the decision to arrest the eyewitness.
The police officers of the Mashtots police headquarters were not able to arrest him because Avdalyan was not at home and what his relatives said was not true. On May 20, Mashtots police officers found out that Gagik Avdalyan was near the first instance court of the Kentron and Nork-Marash districts and arrested him on the spot, but they found out later that he was called to a trial on that day and were forced to release the eyewitness in order to not impede the trial.
They obliged him to come to the Mashtots police headquarters the next day, but Avdalyan did not show up. Police are taking certain measures to find him," as stated in the Police release.
