Experts from Azerbaijan too
International experts will meet in Yerevan on May 14-15 to discuss the role of German language in the South Caucasus region.
Alongside in-depth discussions on issues concerning grammar, other issues include inter-cultural communication and the second day of discussions will focus on language instruction.
In addition to German and Armenian speakers, there will also be speakers from Iran and Azerbaijan.
The conference will be moderated by professor Matias Fritz who works at the Bryusov University of Linguistics as a long-term professor of the Academic Exchange Service of Germany (DAAD) in Armenia.
The conference is funded by the Academic Exchange Service of Germany (DAAD) and the Embassy of the Federative Republic of Germany in Yervan. With this initiative, both institutions wish to promote research in linguistics, development of German language and international cooperation with Armenian linguists, as reported by the Embassy of Germany in Armenia.
