Two years ago, on March 25, Armenia's Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan deceased untimely. Andranik Margaryan is remembered as a friendly and sociable man.

Andranik Margaryan was appointed to the post in 2000 following the dismissal of Vazgen Sargsyan's brother, Aram Sargsyan.

Before the new designation, immediately after the October 27 parliamentary bloodshed, Andranik Margaryan demanded the resignations of Serzh Sargsyan (Minister of National Security) and Tigran Naghdalyan (President of the National TV and Radio) together with the top brass of the Republican and People's Parties.

After assuming the new post, Andranik Margaryan didn't lose contact with his fellow Republican colleagues who later joined the opposition ranks.

He occasionally visited Vazgen Sargsyan's relatives. Andranik Margaryan was the only government representative who ever came in contact with oppositionists. Actually, he bridged the authorities and the opposition.

Andranik Margaryan is no longer with us. Gone is also the link, the bridge necessary for our society today.
