Four conservative candidates for city council
The Conservative Party of Armenia views the elections for Yerevan city council to be held on May 31 as a way to restore constitutional order in Armenia and the continuation of the pan-national struggle against the 2008 falsified presidential elections.
As stated in the statement of the party, the Conservative Party does not have the goal to seat members in city council. Thus, it has only proposed the names of four candidates who have personally asked the party to give them the opportunity to continue their struggle as candidates for the city council elections.
Two of them are partisan and the other two are non-partisan (co-chairs of the Young Conservatives' Union NGO). They all hold university degrees and are currently employed. The Conservative Party has not presented any individual. Those responsible for forming the list of 167 candidates of the Armenian National Congress found it suitable to place them in the following order:
49. Tigran Khachatryan, member of the Conservative Party
60. Vahagn Nazaryan, member of the Conservative Party
100. Hayk Mirzoyan, member of the Young Conservatives' Union
147. Sos Harutyunyan, member of the Young Conservatives' Union
