Awaiting for facts
"We haven't got any evidence testifying to any evil phenomenon; hence we cannot give an official answer," the Ministry of Education and Science told A1+ in response to today's anti-corruption action organised by the "Miasin" youth movement.
Remind that today photos of Yerevan professors labeled "bribe-takers" were thrown into the mud and fixed on higher educational establishments, building facades in protest against deeply-rooted corruption in Yerevan universities.
"We are ready to combat against all vicious phenomena in different public spheres, including the field of education. We are ready to cooperate with all circles and structures of the civil society," says the spokesman of the Ministry of Education and Science, Arthur Baghdasaryan. Establishment of democratic country implies freedom of expression, supremacy of law, and protection of constitutional rights, adds Mr. Baghdasaryan.
"If the Ministry gets any information on corruption we are sure to inform you what measures the Ministry will take in that relation."
