There will be new murders,if...
Before starting today's government session, the Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan took a moment to speak about Vazgen Sargsyan today which marks his 50th anniversary.
"Today for a moment we ask ourselves whether or not we learned lessons after the death of Vazgen Sargsyan and his fellow soldiers? Do we realize that intolerance, hatred and evil prepare grounds for new murders?" said today Armenian PM Tigran Sargsyan who went on to say:
"Do we feel responsible for creating an environment of tolerance? I believe that the government is responsible for creating the environment for cooperation and solidarity because we have state means to create it and of course, we need criticism."
According to Sargsyan, there has to be freedom of speech so that the government will be able to see the flaws and errors of government.
"But when the criticism crosses all borders and when we see presses making false accusations and extreme assessments aimed at insulting others, we understand that we still have a long way to go. The evil and intolerance create new murders. There will be new murders, if we are not able to radically change the environment," said Sargsyan.
The Armenian Prime Minister also said:
"I myself have been a representative of the radical opposition for five years. I also consider myself guilty for many things and ask our oppositionists for forgiveness for our errors and my personal flaws. We must be tolerant and shouldn't burn bridges. We as Armenians reach success at the moment when we cooperate and these are the lessons learned from the history of the Armenian people."
