Chief of Police asks for more time
The Chief of the Armenian Police, Alik Sargsyan today pledged to reveal the assassination of the Deputy Chief of the Police Gevorg Mheryan.
"The murder was a serious blow to the Police and to the State, and its revelation is a matter of honour for us," said Alik Sargsyan and added that he personally controls the inquiry into the crime. Besides, group of professionals is working on the case. Alik Sargsyan didn't detail the process of investigation. The police are working on four possible versions of the murder and need a little more time.
The Chief of the Police did not say when he is going to hold the next press conference but voiced hope that during the next conference he will have more definite information and will be able to say which of the four versions is excluded.
During today's press conference the Chief of Police said they needed time to reveal violations against journalisms. Just at that moment one of the reporters observed that the revelation of violations against reporters is a matter of honor for them. Alik Sargsyan said that no violation against reporters will remain unrevealed; they just needed a little time.
