Will 'Bjni' resume sponsorship?
Support A1+!The President of the Armenian Football Federation (FFA), Republican MP Ruben Hayrapetyan today announced that he had been on bad terms with Bjni's former owner Khachatur Sukiasian.
A1+ reminded the FFA President that despite their relations, Bjni used to sponsor the Armenian football team. Only in the autumn of 2007 another mineral water plant came to replace Bjni on the list of sponsors. "Bjni will likely resume the team's sponsorship," Mr. Hayrapetyan said in reply to our remark.
Though the press conference was held in the FFA building, today Ruben Hayrapetyan didn't refer to football issues. "We shall speak of them another day," he said.
Anyway, he answered A1+'s question regarding a recent Armenian-Latvian friendly match in Cyprus. "We tested a few young players in the meeting, and they all proved to be good footballers. At least, they demonstrated determination which others lack."
Asked whether he finds it a coincidence that Armenia and Turkey have appeared in the same basket during the lots, the FFA President said: "There is nothing to be surprised at. It is a mere coincidence."
The Armenian MP confirmed the rumours that his nephew is sued for carrying cold arms. "Yes, my nephew has made a violation and he must be made accountable. I haven't tried to intervene in his affairs and I am not going to do it in future. "
