Mr. Bruno Dyutua expressed gratitude to the Armenian PM and the government for declaring a contest that corresponded to international norms, as well as for ensuring favorable conditions for business activity in Armenia.

Presenting the activities of the one of the leading operators in the telecommunications field, Mr. Dyutua noted that “Orange Armenia” is still in the stage of formation and intends on ending preparatory work by the end of the year and start implementing its programs. He informed that in 2009 the company foresees making additional investments worth 70 million dollars with the purpose of enlarging not only in the capital, but also by reaching out to citizens in the provinces of Armenia.

Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan stressed the importance of the entry of “France Telecom” in the Armenian market from a couple of aspects. According to him, competition is increasing in the field and as a result, consumers will win and this means new investments and new workplaces. This, according to the prime minister, is more important during the current global financial/economic crisis. Tigran Sargsyan believes that “Orange Armenia” will bring a new business culture to Armenia and the activities of the company will also contribute to the further enhancement of French-Armenian relations.
