TIGRAN SARGSYAN IS SEEKING PROJECT MANAGERS
Support A1+!TIGRAN SARGSYAN IS SEEKING PROJECT MANAGERS
Before moving to the agenda of the RA government session, RA Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan informed government officials that the operative group, which was created with the purpose of discussing the private sector aid programs, has already started working and 70 business plan applications have been received.
“The majority of the plans have been sent for drafting because the data and analyses did not meet the demands of the work group. There are applications that were denied, while the business plans that sounded interesting to us moved on to the second phase of discussions. The government will give its support so the programs will be implemented as soon as possible,” said the Prime Minister.
According to Sargsyan, there is a lack of project managers in Armenia and many ideas are not realized due to the fact that “there are no trained managers who can turn the ideas into a business plan.”
MAJOR ISSUES OF CONCERN FOR 2009
The government approved the plan of actions for 2009 and the major issues facing the executive body in 2009. The government set a two-day deadline to edit and present a final draft of the document taking into account the proposals made. Head of the RA government administration was assigned to present a report on the process of program implementation within ten days after the end of the trimester and another report on the government’s plan of actions for 2009 a month after the end of this year.
DEADLINE CHANGED
The government gave its consent on the bill on making changes in the RA law on “Higher and post-graduate education”, which will be presented to the National Assembly. The bill proposes eliminating the 10-year limit for restoration of rights of students who have dropped out of college and allowing the former student who has dropped out for more than 10 years to continue studies in the corresponding year, if the difference in the number of subjects is not more than eight.
