AGO GROUP SAYS ARMENIA COMPLIED WITH PACE DEMANDS

Armenian National Assembly speaker Arthur Baghdasaryan received Monday the CE ministerial council’s Ago group headed by Ambassador Roland Vegener.

It was pointed out at the meeting that Armenia had accomplished a great deal in fulfilling its CE commitments.

Constitutional reforms are planned to be implemented within 2005.

The parliament speaker said he would resume dialogue with MPs from the opposition, who continue boycotting parliamentary session, to bring them back.

Ambassador Vegener noted that Armenia’s authorities had complied with the PACE demands and succeeded in their efforts to calm political situation in the country.
