OSKANYAN WILL SPEAK ON REGIONAL ISSUES
Support A1+!Today Armenian Foreign Minister Vardan Oskanyan will make a speech at a round table on “South Caucasus: Stability and Security of the Region”, held jointly by Armenian Embassy to Italy and Foreign Affairs Institute of Italy.
Yesterday Minister Oskanyan met his Italian colleague Franco Frattini. The present state of Armenian-Italian relations was welcomed and necessity of intensification and consolidation of them was underlined during the meeting.
Development of programs prior for economic development of Armenia was focused on. Arrangement on providing the Italian capital in Armenia and expanding the legal and contract field was reached.
As to the political issues, mutual visits for intensifying cooperation were stressed. The Italian side commended the steps taken by Armenia for consolidation of democracy.
Foreign Ministers dwelt on the urgent issues of international policy, developments in South Caucasus, Nagorno Karabakh conflict, and the Armenian-Turkish relations.
In the evening Minister Oskanyan arrived in Vatican and met FM Môn senior Giovanni Lajolo.
