AN EXPLOSION OCCURED IN THE ARMENIAN EMBASSY TO LONDON
Support A1+!As the "Armenian National Information Center of America" informed, a bomb exploded at about three o'clock this morning (Thursday) at the Armenian embassy in London. The explosion ripped apart the large front window of the embassy facing the street, igniting a fire.
The fire brigade rushed to the scene and put out the fire after a neighbour called for emergency services.
Minor damages were caused to the office behind the window. The embassy is located on the first floor of the "Armenian House", a community centre.
No group or individual has claimed responsibility for the explosion. Police and investigators did not release any information about the incident. However, sources said an envelop was discovered at the front door of the embassy, the content of which has not been made public.
According to a preliminary assessment, the explosion was caused by a time bomb placed under the window of the embassy, most likely a terrorist attack with a political message.
