“The best way of concealing crimes is to commit new ones,” said Armenian National Congress representative David Shahnazaryan today at the “Iravunk de facto” club with regards to the government’s strategy for the current situation of the country.
According to him, the political crisis that surged in the aftermath of last year’s presidential elections is growing deeper thanks to the efforts of the authorities. Shahnazaryan says that instead of looking for political solutions, the authorities are deepening the wall that separates them and the society.
According to David Shahnazaryan, the passing of Resolution 1643 will not have any real effect on the opposition’s strategy because “the inter-political situation of Armenia is our business.”
He believes that the opposition will continue to work by the law and will fight with all political and legal mechanisms.
The opposition will soon present the lawsuit filed against Robert Kocharyan at the Haaga court. Kocharyan will also be charged with the events of March 1 among the more than 200 charges.
NALBANDYAN DOESN’T KNOW?
Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict settlement, the ANC representative stated that he is concerned about the results of the meeting in Davos.
“If you want to get a rather clear picture of Armenia’s current foreign policy and the situation that has sparked from the talks held within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, I advise you to watch the debates in Davos on Youtube, in which Serzh Sargsyan was supposed to participate,” said Shahnazaryan. What frustrated Shahnazaryan was to see RA Foreign Minister coming late to the debate and without an understanding of the issue.
“During the debate, Aliev called Armenia a land occupier. He also said that Armenia doesn’t respect international law and must meet the requirements of the Resolution of the UN Security Council. But all of that remained unanswered,” said David Shahnazaryan adding that this is supposedly the same situation during the negotiations.
Let us mention that Azeri officials already blame Sargsyan for not having the courage to debate with Aliev.
