PACE COMMITTEE IS DISCUSSING ACCOMPLISHMENT OF RESOLUTIONS 1609 AND 1620

The Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe is still discussing the report and draft resolution on the process of accomplishment of Resolutions 1609 and 1620 on the functioning of democratic institutions in Armenia presented by co-rapporteurs on Armenia Georges Colombier and John Prescott.

Leader of the Heritage Party Raffi Hovannisyan also participates in the sitting. Note that Mr. Hovannisyan suspended his participation in Committee sittings after the PACE adopted a soft resolution on Armenia this June. He pledged to abstain from the sittings until “Europe exercises its rights and values.”
