HUNGER STRIKE CONTINUES
Support A1+!French citizen Sargis Hacpanyan is on a hunger strike for four days now at the “Vardashen” penitentiary. His health is currently normal, told “A1+” press speaker for head of the RA Penitentiary Department Arsen Babayan.
Let us recall that Sargis Hacpanyan began his hunger strike on December 1 against his case and demands the release of political prisoners.
Investigation of Sargis Hacpanyan’s case is still in progress, confirmed press service correspondents of the National Security Service. It is still unclear as to when the case will be sent to court.
Sargis Hacpanyan is charged with false treason based on the 1st point of the 2nd part of article 333 of the Criminal Code. The National Security Service called Hacpanyan to an investigation in the framework of the case brought up against him for publishing the information on organizing an assassination against Serzh Sargsyan in “Haykakan Zhamanak” (Armenian Times) newspaper.
Hacpanyan has been under arrest since November 10.
