NEUROPATHOLOGISTS REFUSE TO VISIT PRISON

Politics

The relatives of David Aghayan detained in connection with the March 1 unrest cannot find a neuropathologist who will agree to go to prison and examine the grandson of the prominent Armenian writer Ghazaros Aghayan.

David’s wife, Yulia, says David suffers from splitting headaches which are becoming more and more persistent. He feels giddy and has a high blood pressure. David needs a thorough examination and medical aid but the prison doesn't render such services.

The relatives have already turned to a neuropathologist living in the city of Masis but the latter has rejected their request.

David's wife has also asked the Armenian National Congress to find a doctor- neuropathologist who will willingly examine David in the isolation ward.
