HAYK DAVTYAN IN JAIL
Support A1+!On October 26 at 2:35 p.m. the Arabkir police division received a notice that shootings were heard in the yard of the building located on 48A Komitas avenue. It turned out that on the same day at 2:30 a group of anonymous people opened fire towards the “VAZ-2121” car and killed Hrachya Matevosyan and injured Harutyun B, who was transferred to the Mikayelyan clinic.
After thorough investigation police found and confiscated thirty-three 5.5 mm shells and one bullet, as well as six 9 mm shells and two bullets. The confiscated gun was sent for investigation.
Due to operative investigation it turned out that the crime was committed by Hayk Davtyan, 29, and Haykaz Hakobyan, 32, who are under persecution. On October 28 at 1:30 Hayk Davtyan came to the Arabkir police division and presented the “Kalashnikov” gun and “Makarov” revolver.
Hayk Davtyan is currently in jail and a preliminary investigation is underway.
Let us recall that RA Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan affirmed yesterday that the murder that took place on Sunday on Komitas avenue was an act of revenge and is “directly tied” to the murder of head of the Hunters’ Union of Armenia and head of the Kanaker affiliate of the “Prosperous Armenia” party Sayad Davtyan, which took place last year on November 8.
