On October 26 elections to self-government bodies took place in three Armenian regions - Shirak, Gegharkunik and Aragatsotn.

Three candidates were running for the mayor of Cyumri-incumbent Republican Mayor Vardan Ghukasyan, member of the Union for National Self-Determination Daniel Darbinyan and nonpartisan Martun Grigoryan. According to the Central Election Commission, Ghukasyan leads with 31375 votes, followed by Grigoryan with 19905 and Darbinyan with 769 votes. The turnout was 5497 in Gyumri. The number of inaccuracies was 642.

Republican Gevorg Malkhasyan was elected Mayor of Sevan city with 7315 votes. His rival Hrachik Karapetyan got 2578 votes.

Another Republican Gor Abrahamyan was elected Mayor of Aparan city with 2256 votes. His contender nonpartisan Razmik Petrosyan got 1225 votes. Remind that the latter enjoyed the support of the Armenian National Congress. According to the CEC the voter turnout was 3620 in Aparan. 128 ballot papers were found invalid. The number of inaccuracies is 25.
