THE RALLY KICKED OFF
Support A1+!The Armenian National Congress rally kicked off and is in progress as we speak. There are crowds of people stretching from the Matenadaran entrance and nearby areas all the way to Mashtots Street.
Levon Ter-Petrosian made his entrance along with leader of the Armenian People’s Party Stepan Demirchian and leader of the “Republic” party Aram Sargsian. Armenian National Congress coordinator Levon Zurabian gave a short confession/speech to the people and announced that the congress “owes them a march and there will be a big march at the end of the rally.”
After that, Levon Zurabian handed the microphone to Ararat Zurabyan who thanked the Kentron district community residents for their votes and the fight.
“People, we’ve won and we are going to keep on winning. There will be new victories,” said Zurabian.
Host of the rally Aram Manukian informed that today there would only be two short speeches by Stepan Demirchian and Aram Sargsian after which Levon Ter-Petrosyan will present the provisions stated in the plan.
Let us mention that according to our correspondent, there are not too many policemen on Northern Avenue and near the Opera; instead, they are waiting in buses in back of the Government building.
