TECHNOLOGY WILL PROVE THAT THE JAW AND BLOOD ARE UNEDITED

Politics

The activities of the NA temporary committee on the March 1 events are getting more and more absurd. For months, the committee was trying to find out at what time the dispersion of demonstrators from Freedom Square began and when it ended, and then they tried to confuse the Armenian public claiming that the video going around was edited and the scenes of a person’s jaw or blood did not correspond to the reality.

President of the “A1+” TV Mesrop Movsesian claims that the scenes belong to “A1+; he also claims that they are the raw, unedited scenes. “A1+” has already sent the preliminary investigation department the scenes with a series of before-and-after clips along with a recording of the days, minutes and seconds.

By the way, the preliminary investigation body invited two of our cameramen to an investigation as witnesses. Among a series of questions, the investigator also asked: Have you seen a murder with your own eyes? Despite the fact that the cameramen had seen dead bodies but not an actual murder, they gave a negative reply, after which the investigator demanded them to write a statement that they had not seen any murder with their own eyes.

President of “A1+” Mesrop Movsesian is in doubt and notes: “It seems as though there were no March 1 events at all because they are petitioning cameramen to say that they have not seen any murder. It turns out that there were no murders and no dead bodies,” said Mr. Movsesian and added that in the scenes there are people’s bodies on the streets, on the car roofs. What does that mean? Did the cameraman see the murder or not? They can comment on the scenes using their logic and however they wish. It’s their problem; our problem has been to set the record straight. Nobody can misinterpret the story and the scenes that we have kept are proofs of that. The other scenes have been confiscated by the police, the Defense Ministry and the National Security Service. I claim that the scenes are unedited; they are raw clips that we have provided to the investigation bodies to find out the truth. Mesrop Movsesian noted that the scenes in question were provided to the committee upon the request of member of the public council investigating the March 1 events Suren Abrahamian. “I will prove in any laboratory or committee that the scenes are unedited, that they are raw material and that they are not taped in a slaughterhouse, but in Yerevan on Paronian Street where the events took place. Proof of that is up-to-date technology-not me or my statements. Now they are trying to protect themselves, but so bad that it is ridiculous.”

As far as the cameraman of the ill-starred scenes is concerned, he is currently on vacation and will return after October 25. Let us mention that he is ready to answer any question; however, the raw scenes will answer all of the questions of the committee members. Let us also mention that after filming the scenes, our cameraman was in Armenia for seven consecutive months after the events, but it never crossed anybody’s mind to ask him anything.

By the way, another new piece of information: in an interview given to “A1+”, president of the parliamentary committee Samvel Nikoian said that it was a good thing he hadn’t presented an interim report because he had not seen the scenes where the police were continuing the operations and beating a demonstrator in Republic Square. We found out from the cameramen of that video that the scenes were taken by the police. So, it turns out that either the police didn’t trust Nikoian and didn’t provide the committee with the scenes despite numerous appeals, or Samvel Nikoian had the scenes, hid them and didn’t present them to the committee. Now, the issue doesn’t concern the careless proofreading of the facts, but rather analyzing what happened and drawing conclusions,” advised Mesrop Movsesian.
