TOROSSIAN HANDS IN RESIGNATION
Support A1+!More than 100 MPs were present at today’s extraordinary session of the National Assembly. One could even see Ruben Hairapetian, Samvel Alexanian and many others among the deputies. NA Speaker Tigran Torossian appeared with a two-minute delay raising lingering doubts among the Armenian parliamentarians. They even doubted that Torossian might not come to the session.
Nevertheless, Torossian appeared in the NA, put the draft bills to the vote and submitted his resignation to the NA Deputy Chairwoman Arevik Petrossian and retired.
The National Assembly passed to its ordinary routine.
Note, Hovik Abrahamian who was nominated by the Republican Party (HHK) as the NA Speaker did not attend the session.
Torossian's resignation is to be considered within five years.
