ARMEN SARKISSIAN GRANTED PAROLE

Vazgen Sarkissian’s brother Armen Sarkissian was granted parole today, member of Hanrapetutiun's political board Suren Sureniants informed A1+.

Armen Sarkissian was convicted in the assassination of Tigran Naghdalian, Armenia's leading journalist, chairman of the Board of Directors of Armenian Public Television.

“We state that Sarkissian was illegally imprisoned and served a 5-year sentence. We voice hope that the political prisoners kept as political hostages will also be set free,” said Sureniants.
