Coordinator of the Foreign Relations of the Armenian National Congress, Vladimir Karapetian, was taken to the police station from Northern Avenue yesterday night. He was released in half an hour.

Note, yesterday the police illegally dispelled people gathered in the avenue and took the hunger-strikers to the police station.

Vladimir Karapetian told A1+ the police had been forbidden to call his advocate.

The head of the police station began pulling me right in the avenue. Then he assigned his junior employees to take me to the police station. They did no harm to me, otherwise they would have to comment on their actions,” said Karapetian. He says yesterday’s events testify to the ignorance of the police.

“They don’t know the country’s laws. They simply execute the orders of their superiors instead of keeping public order,” added Karapetian.

According to the Press Service of the RoA Police Vladimir Karapetian was taken to the police station for further identification.

Reminder: six months ago Vladimir Karapetian held the post of Press Secretary of the RoA Foreign Ministry. He was dismissed for his calls for sobriety.
