TIGRAN TOROSSIAN IS NO LONGER EXPEDIENT
Support A1+!The National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia began its sitting with the national anthem on September 8. A hundred and seven MPs were present at the sitting. NA Speaker Tigran Torossian dispelled the hopes of the presentees who were waiting for the Speaker’s resignation. As usual, Tigran Torossian presented the agenda of the four-day session and answered deputies’ questions.
Newly elected MP Hovik Abrahamian and Head of the Republican Party of Armenia (HHK) Karen Karapetian didn’t attend today’s sitting. HHK MPs declined to comment on the absentees.
Tigran Torossian didn’t even congratulate the five newly-elected MPs.
Reminder: two days ago the HHK executive body found Tigran Torossian’s tenure inexpedient and decided to nominate Hovik Abrahamian for the post.
