RALLY STARTS

Politics

After the All Armenian Movement representative Levon Zourabian “negotiated” with Deputy Chief of Police Alexander Afian, the rally participants were allowed to go up to the Matenadaran stage. What is quite surprising, policemen help the protesters to cross the streets by temporarily stopping the traffic.

Though the police had encircled the Matenadaran square and had done their best to hinder the rally, thousands of people are now present. They are mainly residents of Yerevan, as regional public transport into the capital has been banned.

Residents of the houses near the Matenadaran are following the rally from their balconies.

The rally has not started yet. The opposition rallies have not turned up.
