NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SARGSSIAN AND KOCHARIAN

Politics

Tomorrow the All Armenian Movement is holding a rally near the Matenadaran at 7 p.m. The leaders are going to sign the declaration of establishing the Armenian National Congress. However, it is going to be only a small part of tomorrow’s rally. “We call on our people to demonstrate their collective will power, participate in the rally and demonstrate high level of political consciousness and resoluteness,” declared Levon Zourabian, Representative of the All Armenian Movement Center.

At the previous rally the First President of Armenia provided the authorities, and Serzh Sargssian in particular, time till August 1 “to release all the political prisoners, stop political persecution and police terror, guarantee freedom of rallies, and bring Robert Kocharian, and his accessories Armen Gevorgian, Hovik Abrahamian, Aghvan Hovsepian, Gorik Hakobian, and Alexan Harutyunian to court.”

And since it is almost impossible to manage all this requirements in a day, at the August 1 rally Serzh Sargssian’s resignation will be the motto of the All Armenian Movement.

“We see no difference between Serzh Sargssian and Robert Kocharian. Serzh Sargssian promised to carry out reforms and implement the PACE Resolution requirements. Now it is clear for us that President Sargssian has no desire to get rid of Kocharian’s “heritage”. The recent developments show that we have the same oligarchic regime, which is the organic continuation of the previous one,” Zourabian stated.

The leaders promise to inform about their future plans at tomorrow’s rally, which will be concluded with a march. They consider that the release of 6 political prisoners was the result of the sit-down strike.
