“WE HAVE TO WIN”
Support A1+!Protesters have grown a new custom in Northern Avenue. Every day members of the All Armenian Movement acquaint passers-by with biographies of the political prisoners and the real cause of their detainment.
The first “lesson” was dedicated to Grigor Voskerchian, Vardges Gaspari and Gurgen Yeghiazarian. Remember that yesterday former Deputy Head of the National Security Service (NSS) Gurgen Yeghiazarian was set free.
“All our imprisoned friends believe in our victory. No one is broken. On the contrary, we joined into a unity with your help. We have to win,” declared Gurgen Yeghiazarian in his speech directed to the participants of the sit-down strike in Northern Avenue, shortly after his release.
As Mr. Yeghiazarian informed, only a few investigators had visited him while in detention, and he was utterly forgotten about for the past three months.
Yeghiazarian was accused under Articles 300 and 225 /privatization of state property/ and, in his words, the only “reason” that he was set free was Mr. Hammarberg. On his visit to Armenia the latter had visited the political prisoners (includind Yeghiazarian) in their detention cells.
