"JUNE 20 RALLY TO BE HELD AT LIBERTY SQUARE"
Support A1+!Today the Yerevan City Hall is discussing the venue of an opposition’s June 20 rally.
“The Yerevan City Hall will likely prohibit the opposition to hold the rally near the Matenadaran as well,” said Levon Ter-Petrossian's Representative Levon Zurabian.
According to Levon Zurabian the City Hall has again suggested holding the rally near “Hrazdan” sports ground.
“We thoroughly explained to them that the suggestion is groundless as the law clearly stipulates all reasons for rejection. But this is not the case. They account their rejection for the data submitted by the Police and National Security Service according to which some people will allegedly be incited mass disorders at Liberty Square and Matenadaran in case the rally is held there.”
In reply to A1+ whether the same people cannot provoke disorders near “Hrazdan” sports ground, Levon Zorabian said, “We addressed the same question to the City Hall representative Gagik Baghdasarian but our question found no reply.”
Today Levon Zurabian confirmed their intention to hold the rally at Liberty Square.
