Yerevan’s Administrative Court changed the restraint of detainee Vardan Jhangirian on June 16. Jhangirian was released after giving a written undertaking not to leave the city, one of Jhangirian's advocates, Tigran Safarian, informed A1+.

The Court brought in the verdict taking into consideration the defendant's poor health state. Vardan Jhangirian suffers from tuberculosis spinal bones.

To remind: Vardan Jhangirian is the brother of Armenia's ex Prosecutor General Gagik Jhangirian. He is charged with Article 316 of the RoA Penal Code /violence against a police official/.

The brothers were taken under arrest on February 23, 2008.
