SASUN MIKAYELIAN FREED FOR SEVEN HOURS
Support A1+!Today detained MP Sasun Mikayelian was allowed to visit his birthplace, Vanatur, to participate in his brother’s funeral. Sasun Mikayelian’s brother, Sargis Mikayelian, had stopped treatment after Sasun’s detention.
Sasun Mikayelian was taken to Vanatur without handcuffs. He was allowed to talk to his fellow-villagers and relatives.
Sasun Mikayelian stayed in Vanatur for seven hours.
You cannot imagine how exciting it was. The whole village was crying, said a Vanatur resident.
“I am here to commit my brother to the earth. Everything will be all right,” said Sasun.
Zharangutiun members, thousands of veterans from different marzes as well as opposition representatives had come to participate in the funeral.
