Today the RA National Assembly passed the bill on amendments and supplements to the “Law on meetings, rallies, marches and demonstrations” at first reading. The bill was drafted by Chairman of the National Assembly Tigran Torossian.

The term “Spontaneous rally”, which was removed from the law at a special session during the state of emergency, was restored in the bill with certain changes. The “spontaneous rally” cannot last longer than 6 hours and in case it does, the demonstrators must inform the Municipality and get an official permission to continue.

The second reading of the bill will be held at the spring session of the NA, due in June.
