“WOMEN MUST BE IN THE REAR AT WARTIME”
Support A1+!Member of the “New Times” Party Board Hrachya Sargssian and another 6 party members have been on a hunger-strike at the RA Prosecutor’s Office for 6 days already. They demand that Chairman of the “New Times” Party Aram Karapetian be released.
It is noteworthy that the four women who were on a hunger-strike for long finally quitted it yesterday as an ambulance had to be called in several times a day for medical assistance.
The women quitted the hunger-strike at Hrachya Sargssian and other party members’ request.
“That was a proper move; women must be in the rear at wartime”, says Hrachyan Sargssian, member of the “New Times” Party Board.
Hunger-striker Samvel Khloyan states that the day before the representatives of the Armenian Red Cross visited them and promised to provide them with tents but there was no response yet.
By the way, the ombudsman was also supposed to visit the hunger-strikers yesterday but the expected visit never took place.
