HUNGER-STRIKE CONTINUES
Support A1+!Samvel Gevorgian and Koryun Tadevosian are still on a hunger-strike in the city of Masis. Yesterday at about 12:00 they were taken to the local police department and only at 17:00 were they released.
The hunger-strikers demand that Commander of Masis Battalion Husik Baghdasarian and the other political prisoners be immediately released. As Samvel Gevorgian informed “A1+”, today they were visited by the Mayor of Masis, who respectfully asked them to quit the strike.
Compared to yesterday’s pressures the situation is quite normal today. The law-enforcement bodies do not interfere. Only about ten policemen are simply watching them from their cars.
The hunger-strikers are not under medical supervision but according to Samvel Karapetian they feel quite well and have no complaints. The strikers are determined to continue the hunger-strike for another five days.
