“ZHARANGUTIUN” LAUNCHES COLLECTION OF SIGNATURES

Politics

The “Zharangutiun” (Heritage) Party has filed a request with the Prosecutor General to change the preventive punishment of the Armenian parliamentarians detained after the March 1 events. The letter was signed by “Zharangutiun” MPs Zaruhi Postanjian, Anahit Bakhshian, Larissa Alaverdian, Vardan Khachatrian, Stepan Safarian, freelance deputy Viktor Dallakian and BHK member Vardan Bostanjian. The solicitation to change Miasnik Malkhassian’s preventive punishment was also signed by BHK MP Armen Abrahamian.

The party has launched collection of signatures today.

Reminder: the National Assembly had expressed readiness to institute proceedings against Armenian MPs Sasun Mikayelian, Hakob Hakobian, Miasnik Malkhassian and Khachatur Sukiassian.

Karabakh war veterans Sasun Mikayelian, Hakob Hakobian and Miasnik Malkhassian are presently in isolation wards.

The issue hasn’t been considered in the National Assembly yet. Member of the Prosperous Aramenia (BHK) Naira Zohrabian says the issue will first be considered with the party leader Gagik Tsarukian and then with the Coalition partners.

Tomorrow member of the Armenian delegation to the PACE Avet Adonts will share his opinion on the Strasbourg discussions at the BHK sitting. They will likely refer to the signature compilation as well.

NA factions are expected to answer the Zharangutiun on April 22.
