RAFFI HOVHANNISSIAN: “WE NEED URGENT EVIDENCE”
Support A1+!“John Prescott and Georges Columbier’s draft resolution on “The Functioning of Democratic Institutions in Armenia” will be adopted with certain changes”, considers Armenian Delegate, “Heritage” Party Chairman Raffi Hovhannissian.
Mr. Hovhannissian finds it difficult to define the changes in the resolution. The latter can be suggested by all the members and naturally Armenian delegates are eager to mitigate them. Anyway, the major demands will remain unaffected.
With regard to Armenian authorities’ willingness to carry out the resolution terms Raffi Hovhannissian answered: “I still hope. It is essential since we need it for our country’s free, sovereign and democratic future.”
“We hear lots of nice words “dialogue”, “negotiations”, “responsibility”, but it’s not time for pleasing words. We need immediate evidence and work”, declares Hovhannissian.
