AMERICAN ARMENIANS HOLD PROTEST ACTION
Support A1+!Over 5000 Armenians of Little Armenia district, Hollywood, held a protest at 6:00 pm, 8 April. They remonstrated against Serzh Sarkissian’s inauguration due today at the National Opera and Ballet Theatre in Armenia.
The remonstrants revered the memory of the March 1 victims. The protest action was organized by the U.S. Center supporting Levon Ter-Petrossian.
According to the Press Service of the Center, the presentees signed an application addressed to the heads of the USA and European countries urging them not to recognize Serzh Sarkissian as Armenia’s next President, to hold an independent international investigation, to help release the political prisoners and reestablish a system of democratic governance in Armenia.
