Support A1+!“The reason the Orinats Yerkir Party joined the coalition was the intention to carry out reforms in the country. Everyone knows that it is impossible to implement any program when you are opposition,” OYP Deputy Leader Heghine Bisharian told a press conference today.
Heghine Bisharian says the OYP has recently conducted a poll among 250 thousand families who voted for different candidates at the presidential election. 65 percent of those surveyed assessed their move to form a coalition government as positive.
Asked whether being part of the government the OYP claims responsible for the detention of women and children walking along Northern Avenue, Heghine Bisharyin said, “I do not possess such information. I know that most of them have already been released. It is up to the law-enforcement bodies to give assessments on the detentions. We shall become part of the government and assume responsibilities from April 15. As to the anticipated government posts, according to the OYP deputy leader the party has no expectations. Besides, the posts have not been discussed yet.
Journalists reminded Mrs. Bisharian that Robert Kocharian had named Arthur Baghdasarian a traitor. In this connection Bisharian said, “Коcharian didn’t name Baghdasarian a traitor. Коcharian found his steps treacherous.”
Reminder: at the turn of 2007 during a meeting with a representative of a diplomatic corps Arthur Baghdasarian urged to give negative assessments about Armenia and to exert pressure on the authorities. Robert Kocharian considered Baghdasarian’s step a treachery.
