TER-PETROSYAN INVITES SERGE SARGSYAN AND ROBERT KOCHARYAN TO LIBERTY SQUARE
Support A1+!Appealing to Serge Sargsyan and Robert Kocharyan, Levon Ter-Petrosyan declared in the Liberty Square: “I appeal to you, my friends. Why don’t you want to understand the situation in the country? If you have courage come to the Liberty Square and declare that you will resign and leave”. Then he appealed to the NA deputies and invited them to the Square as well. “Your nation is here, come here, your National Assembly is here. We will welcome you, if you come”, he announced and added that more than half a million people were in the Square.
He pointed out that the majority of the RA authorities were in prison and reflected on the recent detentions of the powers that supported him. Representatives of the “Heritage” party and “Impeachment” Block also made speeches.
However, policemen ascended the platform and warned the organizers of the rally not to organize a march. The RA National hero, hero of Karabakh war Jivan Abrahamyan’s mother, also made a speech during the rally. It is worthwhile to mention, that some unknown, armed people intruded into her house today in the morning and frightened her. “Do not be cheated, nation, take care of your country”, stated the hero’s mother.
The number of young people and the students prevailed today and Ter-Petrosyan announced that if he became the President he would declare 26 February the Students’ Day. As a symbol of peace they left doves fly into the sky.
