SAMVEL ALEKSANYAN INTIMIDATES

Almost from all precincts in Malatya-Sebastia community we receive alarm calls regarding the fraud cases. The residents of the community tell how the NA Deputy Samvel Aleksanyan travels around the community in cars and stuffs the voting booths.

“A1+” is informed that at the election precinct which is located at school after Daniel Varuzhan, Samvel Aleksanyan together with 70 people beat Levon Ter-Petrosyan’s proxies, who made attempts to hinder the stuffing. The policemen and the members of the commission stated that nothing had happened, while Arthur Baghdasaryan’s proxy Victor Usunts said the following: “People were beaten severely in front of everybody’s eyes, took away the seal and stuffed the voting booth”.

Vahagn Khachatryan, head of Ter-Petrosyan’s headquarter in Malatya-Sebastia, received information regarding number 07/01 precinct. “A1+” arrived at the election precinct, and witnessed how people were brought to the precinct in buses and you could not find a spare place at the precinct. A man with the medal of the “Republican Party of Armenia” whispered to another man to approach the third table. The correspondent of “A1+” asked who he was and why he was making such orders, the man with the medal responded that he helped people since the situation was very tensed.

Ashot Mkrtchyan, observer at 07/05 election precinct, told the following: “A group of people in cars arrived at the precinct and beat the member of the commission severely and took him away. They took some ballot papers and voted. The police did not interfere in this ferocity. The also took away my mobile phone as well”.

We tried to hear Samvel Samvelya’s comments, but we were unable since he did not answer to the phone calls. But the correspondent of “A1+” has seen his cars near the community’s church.
