TIGRAN KARAPETIAN TO HOLD RALLY
Support A1+!Leader of the People’s Party (ZhK) and presidential candidate Tigran Karapetian says the results of Gallup polls are promising “although they are ordered by the authorities.”
“ Judging by the polling results, I share the third place with Artashes Geghamian with six per cent votes which means that I rank the third or the fourth on the candidates’ list,” Tigran Karapetian said during today’s meeting with reporters.
Tigran Karapetian doesn’t approve of candidates’ unification. “How can a candidate having a pre-election programme join another candidate? It means he endorses the other’s programme.”
“People will still be taken aback. Nothing is excluded in politics. Moreover, I don’t rule out further surprises at the post-election period,” Tigran Karapetian said with regard to the authorities’ statement that they would win the election after the first round.
Tigran Karapetian is displeased with the airtime allotted to him. “Neither “Yerkir Media” nor “Shant” TV Channels have hosted us. We have been invited by “Armenia,” “Kentron” and “H1” within the framework of the “Europolis.”
Although “Kentron” wanted to instigate a provocation, all their efforts failed.
Tigran Karapetian felt an atmosphere of fear in marzes during his regional visits.
“People do not attend meetings as they fear lest they should be noticed by the City Hall representatives or local authorities,” he says.
According to the ZhK leader they will hold a rally near the Matenadaran on February 17.
