ARTASHES GEGHAMIAN: "LET US LIVE IN PEACE"

The AMK leader thinks that Levon Ter-Petrossian is the best contender for Serzh Sarkissian as the “authorities know a lot about the first president and can use it as a weapon against him.”
Asked why he considers Levon Ter-Petrossian the most vulnerable candidate among the nine presidential nominees, Artashes Geghamian said, “During the eight years of his office Ter-Petrossian radically changed the psychology and behaviour of an Armenian. Birthrate fell abruptly. Sixty-four assassinations were carried out in the country. A president having self-respect would have resigned.”
According to the AMK leader journalists fully realise that the first president is the most vulnerable candidate, therefore, they exaggerate facts to raise his rating.
Recently Prime Minister Serzh Sarkissian highly praised Artashes Geghamian as a political figure. Does it mean that Artashes Geghamian is the protege of the acting authorities?
In reply to journalists’ questions, Geghamian said, “I was really surprised and pleased to hear Serzh Sargsian’s opinion. When you prefer the country’s interests to your personal ones, it means you are a real patriot. The prime minister praised that very quality in me.”
Artashes Geghamian urged people to be guided by a well-known motto, “Let’s live in peace.” He criticized Levon Ter-Petrossian during the whole press conference.
