“I HAVE GOT NO BLOW BELOW THE BELT”

Politics

“Pre-election campaigns are multi-fold phenomena comprised of several phases: political struggle, individual struggle, clash of interests and black PR,” NA Deputy Speaker, ARF Dashnaktsutiun member and presidential nominee Vahan Hovhannissian told A1+.

“Unfortunately, Armenia still lacks a political dispute among the presidential aspirants. I only see a clash of personal interests which is really troublesome.”

Vahan Hovhannissian says that black PR is felt in all rival teams. The ARFD member is always in full control of his feelings and never yields to ambitions.

“We must try our best to shift the struggle to the political domain instead of denigrating each other in the public.

Let's find out the weak points of the acting and former authorities and correct them with joint efforts. Let's find a new way to develop the country,” Vahan Hovhannissian says.

According to the NA deputy speaker “the more political the dispute is, the more people it will attract and the less elections will be faked.”

In reply to the question whether black PR had been launched against him, Vahan Hovhannissian said, “I have got no blow below the belt. I expect it any moment. I assure you that my response will be quite adequate.”

Hovhannissian doesn't share Artashes Geghamian's opinion that blood will be shed on the eve of the elections. And yet, people should be cautious, discreet and well-prepared “to avert bloodshed.”

Clashes are inevitable if a candidate takes all efforts to seize power. On the other hand, none of the candidates can destabilize the situation in the country as Armenia has got a steady arsenal. Nevertheless, I do not rule out any attempts,” he said.
