Will Levon Ter-Petrosyan hand over Artsakh, in case he is reelected? Commander of Shushi special battalion Zhirayr Sefilyan’s announcement from prison refers to this issue.

“After the RA First President’s 21 September speech, Serge Sargsyan’s and Robert Kocharyan’s supporters assaulted on Levon Ter-Petrosyan with various accusations. They accuse Ter-Petrosyan of his alleged intention to sell Karabakh after being elected to the post of the president”, says the letter.

According to Sefilyan, in the beginning of 1998 Levon Ter-Petrosyan did not resign compulsorily, coming out of the situation around Artsakh conflict resolution. He ensures that Ter-Petrosyan resigned coming out other reasons, which he does not find proper to mention. “If we compare the drafts on the conflict resolution before 1998 and after it we will see that the new draft is worse than the previous one”.

“I am against the conception that Levon is the president who will hand over Artsakh. It does dot correspond the reality. Yes, our approaches differ in regard with Artsakh problem. We do not admit any document on territorial concession. I am confirmed that Levon Ter-Petrosyan and his co-thinkers, as true patriots, do not want to concede the territory, but as compared with us, they are pragmatic actors and are confirmed that the conflict will not be settled without concession,-says Zhirayr Sefilyan,- Consequently, if they are presented another resolution to the conflict, which will make possible implementation of programs stabilizing regulations in the region, then we consider that they will approve it. To the question, whether there is another version to the conflict settlement or not, I will say yes. After withdrawing the anti-Armenian administration from the arena, we will put our version into circulation, and we are confirmed that the nation will also approve of it”.
